The vineyard, located at an altitude between 600 and 750 meters above sea level, benefits from a unique microclimate characterized by significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. The winemaking process for Ghiaianera is meticulous. After manual harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and fermented at controlled temperatures. This is followed by maceration on the skins to extract the maximum amount of aromatic and polyphenolic compounds, giving the wine body and depth. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for about 12 months, followed by additional aging in the bottle. The result is a wine with an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it opens with notes of ripe red fruits, cherry, and raspberry, enriched by hints of sweet spices, tobacco, and a slight smoky note that recalls the minerality of the volcanic soil. On the palate, Ghiaianera is balanced and harmonious, with velvety tannins and a lively freshness that perfectly balances the wine's structure.
